1.       A.I.R. WITH STATE OF THE ART IMAGING FACILITY 

We are happy to announce that our state of the art imaging facility will be fully operational in Camden Medical Centre in September 2002.  Taking up the entire 2^nd level of Camden Medical Centre, Advanced Integrated Radiology offers the full range of imaging services to maximise the convenience of both the patient and health care provider while enabling the highest quality of care.

Imaging facilities include:

•  Open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

• Computed Tomography (CT Scan)

• General X-ray

• Fluoroscope X-ray

• Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD)

• Mammography

• Ultrasound

• Electrocardiograph (ECG)

• Treadmill

Once captured, images are managed by the Picture Archiving and Communicating System (PACS). Patients and care providers alike enjoy efficient, secure, and speedy means of sharing and accessing the necessary image and diagnostic information. By electronically transmitting the images to the analysing physicians, PACS reduces waiting times for image processing and duplication of images. Additionally, the PACS means of integrated image distribution allows for: 

• Totally film-less radiology

• Remote consultation

• Simultaneous collaborative diagnosis by multiple consulting professionals

• Easily accessible images

The Radiology Information System (RIS) is the first in Singapore to expedite back office filing, enhance the quality of multiple physician care, and provide patients with full invoice and billing information in one report. Coupled with PACS, RIS translates to convenience for patients and care providers alike. 

Our facilities cater to enhanced patient care employing state of the art technology such as: 

Our 0.35T super conductivity open MRI- In addition to adults, this open MRI caters to children, so a parent can offer additional comfort by sitting next to the child; even safely holding their hand during the scanning.  

CT Scan- Our multi slice helical Computed Tomography scanner is capable of doing three dimensional reconstruction and calcium scoring, and is the latest in the CT scanning technology. 

Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD): Used to detect Osteoporosis, our BMD scanner will be the first deployment of the French-made “Lexos” in Singapore. The Lexos uses cutting edge technology to produce higher quality images while reducing the image acquisition time from 20 minutes to a mere 3 minutes!
